Recently I have had an idea for an image, and to develop it I have to model some things, between them a pocket watch.
So let me show you a glimpse of the project and how it developes.
The first thing to do, as always, is to search a reference for the model you are looking for in internet, so the job can be done as precise as possible.
I found an image of a pocket watch that I liked, so I used it as a reference in blender to model the body of the watch using an sphere and the arrows were created using curves.
When I was done with modelling, I began with texturing, using UV mapping for the numbers zone, adjusting the metal, glass and arrows textures, and a background so the metal and the glass can reflect something (looks bettter in my opinion).
And this is the result by now, that shows three different steps in the process. It will continue... See you.
The Emerald Window Decorator is a custom window decorator shipped with Compiz Fusion that allows for theming and full composite window decorations with the use of engines.
In my case I was using the "Radial 0.3" theme created by Aceph, but recently I've been customizing it a little, changing the default settings and making new coloured buttons.
I think the result is good enough to share it so, if you are interested you can download it form this link :: inspiriens 01 ::
The theme is released under the GPL. I hope you like it. Bye
I've finally finished the spotlight and I've used it as an element in this wallpaper created for Ubuntu Studio, the linux distro I use. It's an ubuntu derivative focused on multimedia (audio, video and graphics) that includes a realtime kernel for audio.
I've also used the jack I made for the icon posted some time ago.
Everything has been created using inkscape, blender and the gimp.
If you want to download it, you have a bigger version (1680x1050) in the Galleries, Wallpapers section.
Bye.
I've kept on working in this object, now modelling is finished and texturing is almost done. I've also made a stand for the spotlight and only rests rigging it.
It will continue.
August has ended and here we are in september. A moment of change and reboot. maybe it's better to begin with minimalism and try to face things the simplest way.
I've began making a wallpaper for ubuntu. The image was created using inkscape, blender and the gimp.
If you want to download it, you have a bigger version (1680x1050) in the Galleries, Wallpapers section.
See you
This is a model I'm working on and that's almost finished, made with the new beta version of blender (2.53).
In fact it's an exercise to practice with the new gui in blender, and it works fine and the render time has been improved a lot, being much faster.
See you
